Using the Anespa DX

This site does not publish a full operation manual for the Anespa DX. Where a detail belongs to your particular unit — which button makes which water, how long a cartridge lasts, how often it wants more than its automatic clean — this guide says so plainly and sends you to the manual, to the support centre and to an authorized Enagic representative, rather than guessing.
These guides are for product education. Always follow the operation manual supplied with your unit and official Enagic guidance.
Getting started
Before the first shower
Step 1. Check the unit against the contents list printed in your box.
Step 2. Read the operation manual supplied with your unit before you take anything off the shower arm.
Step 3. Look at the arm it will mount on. The Anespa DX is 130 × 346 mm and weighs 4.2 kg, so the arm and the wall behind it have to carry it.
Step 4. If you are unsure about the fitting, have it installed with an authorized Enagic representative.
The Anespa DX is a bath and shower system. It does not produce the five Kangen water types, and its water is not for drinking.
Using your machine
Running the shower
Step 1. Turn the water on as you normally would and let it come up to temperature.
Step 2. Adjust to a comfortable flow. The Anespa DX is rated at 2.6 L/min.
Step 3. Shower or fill the bath as usual. The water passes through the built-in filtration and the mineral cartridge on its way out.
For external use — bathing and showering. Not for drinking.
Installation
Fitting it to your shower
Step 1. The Anespa DX mounts on an existing shower arm.
Step 2. Take off the existing shower head and fit the unit as the manual describes.
Step 3. Make sure the filter and the mineral cartridge are in place, as the manual describes, before you run water through it.
Step 4. Run the shower and check every joint for leaks before you leave it.
Shower fittings vary from home to home, and this page does not publish the Anespa DX's thread size. Check the manual supplied with your unit, or ask an authorized Enagic representative — the support centre has the ways to reach one.
Daily use
Every day
Step 1. Use it for showering and bathing, exactly as you used the shower head it replaced.
Step 2. For a bath, let it run into the tub as the bath fills.
Step 3. There is nothing to select: the published output is one water — mineral ion water for bath and shower.
The published pH is the same as your tap water's. The Anespa DX is not one of the five-water-type ionizers, and its water is not for drinking — for that, see the Leveluk systems.
Cleaning
Keeping it clean
Step 1. Wipe the outside with a soft, dry cloth.
Step 2. Rinse the head as you would any other, and keep the outlet clear.
Step 3. Do not use abrasives or solvents on the housing.
No cleaning interval is published for the Anespa DX on this site. The operation manual supplied with your unit gives it.
Filter replacement
The filter and the mineral cartridge
Step 1. The Anespa DX takes a replaceable filter and a replaceable mineral cartridge.
Step 2. Replace them with genuine Enagic parts.
Step 3. Follow the replacement procedure in the operation manual supplied with your unit.
No cartridge life is published for the Anespa DX on this site. Take the figures from your manual, or ask an authorized Enagic representative.
Troubleshooting
If something is not right
Step 1. Note what is actually happening — the flow, the temperature, a leak, or a change in the water.
Step 2. Check the simple things first: the shower valve, the joint at the arm, and whether the cartridges are due.
Step 3. Look the symptom up in the operation manual supplied with your unit.
Step 4. If it is not there, contact an authorized Enagic representative or Enagic Philippines service rather than dismantling the unit.
The Anespa DX carries a 3-year limited warranty. Confirm what service is covered with Enagic Philippines before any repair.
