This is a subject where a wellness publication owned by a company that sells an electromagnetic-wave device has an obvious temptation, and the only way to be useful is to resist it. So: what follows is what the major health authorities actually say, including the parts that do not help us sell anything.
If you want the short version — mainstream science has not established adverse health effects from the electromagnetic fields found in ordinary homes, and any product sold on the promise of protecting your health from them is selling ahead of the evidence.
What is actually in a modern home
Electromagnetic fields are not exotic. They are produced by anything that carries or uses electricity, and they fall into broad bands.
- Extremely low frequency (ELF) — household wiring, appliances, the fields around a fridge motor or a lamp cord.
- Radiofrequency (RF) — wifi routers, mobile phones, base stations, Bluetooth devices, microwave ovens while running.
- Everything above that — infrared, visible light, and beyond. Note that visible daylight is itself electromagnetic radiation, which is a useful reminder that "electromagnetic" is a physics category, not a hazard category.
All of these are non-ionizing: they do not carry enough energy per photon to break chemical bonds, which is the mechanism that makes X-rays and gamma rays genuinely dangerous. That distinction does most of the work in this subject and is usually the first thing missing from alarming content about it.
What the health authorities have concluded
The World Health Organization's position on radiofrequency exposure from wireless networks and base stations is that, from the evidence accumulated so far, no adverse short- or long-term health effects have been shown to occur from these signals at the levels people are exposed to. Measured exposures from base stations typically sit at a small fraction of international guideline limits.

How to judge a product sold to reduce EMF
Devices in this category exist, including one in this showroom's catalogue: emGuarde is a USB-powered unit described as reducing electromagnetic waves within roughly a four-metre radius.
Here is the honest framing. A device that reduces measured field strength in a room is making an engineering claim, which can be tested with a meter. A device that promises better sleep, more energy or protection from harm is making a health claim, and given that no adverse health effect has been established at household exposure levels, there is nothing established for it to be protecting you from.

What is worth your attention instead
If the underlying concern is sleeping badly or feeling unwell at home — which, in practice, is what brings most people to this subject — there are household variables with far better evidence behind them, and most of them are free.
- Light at the wrong times. Bright evenings and dim mornings affect sleep through a well-established mechanism.
- Ventilation. The EPA notes indoor pollutant levels can run well above outdoor levels in poorly ventilated spaces.
- Noise, temperature and screens before bed — ordinary, unglamorous, and reliably consequential.

The summary
Household electromagnetic fields are non-ionizing, exposures sit well below international limits, and no adverse health effect has been established at those levels.
